2024: The Year of Big Projects
We always take this time of year to look back and appreciate the many wonderful projects that we had the honor to create. Each year is unique, and this year included three especially large projects that we would like to share with you. We feel grateful that so many people love climbing as much as we do and want to add climbing walls to their programs.
Basin Climbing and Fitness in Hewitt, TX
We built our largest climbing gym! Basin has over 10,000 square feet of climbing including bouldering, top rope and lead climbing. The kids’ area features a freestanding tower in the image of the famous Alico Building from downtown Waco. We also installed the safety flooring. Be sure to check it out the next time you are in Texas!
Rockford Middle School in Rockford, MN
This beautiful 25’H x 32’L Vertical Climbing Wall at Rockford Middle School features multiple overhangs, a roof, volumes and 8 Auto Belay Stations. We always include our signature Red-Relief Line® on vertical walls to allow for versatility of use as a Traverse Wall®.
The University of South Florida in Tampa, FL
The University of South Florida project is what we call a “racquetball court conversion.” We used the space that previously housed a racquetball court and turned it into a bouldering gym. The overall color scheme for the climbing panels coordinate with the university’s marketing colors palettes. There are 672-square feet of climbing featuring a mix of slabs, overhangs, roofs and volumes. There are lot of challenges for new and experienced climbers! We also installed the safety flooring.
