Days of Caring Program
Employees participate in service projects through the Days of Caring Program to make a difference in the communities where we live, work and play.
2024 DAY OF CARING EVENT
On November 12, 2024, we returned to one of our favorite organizations to support -- Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit Christian hunger relief organization whose mission is to feed starving and malnourished children throughout the world. Our team, along with other groups there, assembled 27,648 meal packages that will be sent to Honduras. This is enough food to feed 75 children for one year. We were given the reference that a yellow school bus fits 75 children -- that's a lot! We are happy so many children will benefit.

On March 3, 2020, Everlast Climbing hosted a fundraising event to benefit The Access Fund, a not-for-profit rock climbing advocacy group that keeps outdoor climbing areas open and promotes responsible climbing. The event took place at nearby Forgotten Star Brewing Co. and included a taco bar and a film screening of Reel Rock 14, a collection of world premiere rock climbing documentary films featuring Nina Williams, Tommy Caldwell, Alex Honnold and others. The evening was a great celebration of rock climbing with over 70 attendees and nearly $800 was raised.

2018 DAY OF CARING EVENT
Everlast Climbing held its Day of Caring on July 18, 2018 at the Twin Cities Kids in Need Foundation Resource Center, a charitable organization that provides free school supplies to students and teachers from schools with high poverty rates. We donated a large bag of school supplies, boxed over 400 backpacks full of school supplies for shipment to a school in La Porte, Indiana and stuffed 2,500 pencil pouches with school supplies. We helped prepare 2,932 students for success in school! Learn more about the Kids in Need Foundation.

The Everlast Climbing group, along with other groups in attendance, boxed 23,544 packaged meals–enough to help feed 65 children for one year! Our group learned about world hunger issues and how these meals make a significant difference in the lives of children. We enjoyed spending time together and feel good about helping children in need.
2015 DAY OF CARING EVENT
On August 7, 2015, staff from Everlast Climbing donated and installed a Magna Traverse Climbing Wall in the gymnasium of Kaposia Education Center in South St. Paul, MN. The school serves students from kindergarten through 5th grade and is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) School offering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP). Everlast Climbing chose to donate a climbing wall to Kaposia to honor the memory of the late Kathleen Kidd, one of the school’s teachers and the spouse of an Everlast Climbing employee. The Day of Caring event was preceded by several Days of Caring in which production staff volunteered time to manufacture the various parts of the climbing wall during breaks and after hours. Everlast Climbing was able to completely donate the climbing wall package thanks to the generosity of its vendors who donated all of the materials. This Day of Caring event was especially meaningful to staff because it honors the memory of a very special person and will benefit children for many years to come.
2014 DAY OF CARING EVENT

Everlast Climbing held two service events this year in support of hunger relief. The kick-off event was a Food Drive December 3 - 17, 2012 in which 72 pounds of food was collected for Second Harvest Heartland, the Upper Midwest’s largest hunger-relief organization. This was enough food to provide meals to 60 people. Then, on the evening of December 18, 2012 a team from Everlast Climbing distributed groceries at nearby Obama Elementary School through the Meals for Minds program, a mobile food pantry that brings fresh food and staples to k - 12 students and families in need—right to their own school. The EC group enjoyed making a difference during this hands-on event by sorting food, setting up stations, greeting families and putting food directly into the hands of hungry people in our community. Each child left with 30 - 40 pounds of food! Learn more about Second Harvest Heartland.2011 DAY OF CARING EVENT
The success of last year’s Day of Caring prompted a repeat performance. On the evening of October 19, 2011, Everlast Climbing decided to again help out at Feed My Starving Children. Everlast staff, families and friends, along with other groups, assembled and boxed more than 11,000 specially formulated food packages. This fed 33 children for one year. The event was especially meaningful because it not only involved the staff, but also their families—even young children. Ten of our staff’s children volunteered alongside their parents to make a difference in the lives of less fortunate children.2010 DAY OF CARING EVENT
