Climbing Walls Beyond the School Setting

Our Traverse Walls® and vertical climbing walls have been installed in all of the 50 states, and most of them are located in K-12 schools. However, we are found in many other youth-serving facilities, too. You can find us in therapy centers, churches, camps, Boys & Girls Clubs and private homes. Take a peek at some of our past projects that are outside of the school setting.

Therapy Center Climbing Wall

The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer (AHF) in Chattanooga, TN is home to an 8' H x 24' W Adaptive Wall. Read our past blog post about how their climbing wall is used as a treatment tool for youth with physical, emotional, and/or developmental challenges. The grab-bar style hand holds and ledge-style foot holds, combined with a write-on/wipe-off and magnet-accepting surface allow for a multitude of uses in a therapy setting.

Church Climbing Wall

Life.Church in Thornton, CO has an 8' H x 32' W Standard Traverse Wall® with custom black safety mats installed in a corner. This is part of their LifeKids program for children up to 6th grade.

Camp Climbing Wall

Camp Sonshine, in Silver Spring, MD, offers both summer day camp and year-round programming such as before- and after-school care. Their 28’ H x 34’ W Sculpted Relief-Feature Top Rope Climbing Wall brings varying challenges to their campers with two roofs, two overhangs and many volumes.

Boys & Girls Club Climbing Wall

The Cherokee Youth Center in Cherokee, NC features this fabulous 20’ H x 12' W Relief-Feature Top Rope Climbing Wall and a 10’ H x 28’ W Traverse Wall®. These two types of climbing walls are what we call a "Combi Wall" and they are perfect for the wide age range of children (5-18 years old) who attend the center's after-school and summer youth programs.

Home Climbing Wall

A custom home climbing wall makes home even sweeter! This wall in Long Island, NY features Superior Rock panels with custom color hand holds. We can customize the look and size of a climbing wall to complement any space or decor. Climbing Walls are also a great addition to a home sport court.
